The cemetery is long since closed
Bodies lie decomposed
The stench of death fills the air
Among the mausoleums of grey
The vampire stalks his prey
In the dead of night
As you walk among the graves
You will not be saved before the light of day
Vampire cometh in the night
To drink your blood before first light
Midnight is no place to be
In old Highgate Cemetery
An eerie mist fills you with dread
As you walk among the dead
Tolling phantom bells
Of old funerals
Echo in the night
Apparitions now appear
And fill your soul with fear
As you walk among the graves
Amongst the gloomy graveyard murk
Where restless spirits lurk
In the dead of night
Vampire cometh in the night
To drink your blood before first light
Midnight is no place to be
In old Highgate Cemetery
An eerie mist fills you with dread
As you walk among the dead....
The graves lie forgotten
Loved ones long since dead
An eerie silence
Fills you with dread
Tolling phantom bells
Of old funerals
The omnious presence of death
Is all that is left
As the darkness enshrouds
Untendered Epitaphs
The shadows
Visions appear
Apparitions in the graveyard mist
Wander among the graves
Where they exist
Spirits rise up at the graves
Tolling phantom bells
Of old funerals
Echo in the night
Apparitions now appear
And fill your soul with fear
As you walk among the graves
Amongst the gloomy graveyard murk
Where restless spirits lurk
In the dead of night

I can't formally retract the erroneous 2.0 I gave this back in 2018, but I can say that, five years on, I've come around to this record in a big way. Quality death metal with great atmosphere without being "atmospheric" (read: boring) metal. Diabolus in Muzaka
The Belgian band explore heavy psych, tribal rhythms, free-jazz freakouts, meditative drone and the vast, shadowy spaces in between. Bandcamp Album of the Day Jun 22, 2020

I bought this on CD ages ago and it didn't leave my car's rotation for a couple years. I Raised this Stone as a Ghastly Memorial is one of those songs I consider a perfect representation of my taste in music. erin
